The Ultimate Round

What exactly is a "ultimate round"?

It's a composite score made up of your best-ever result on every hole of a course, added together. It's not a round you played in one outing. It's the round hiding inside all your rounds so far.

Do I have to log all 18 holes at once?

No. Log as many or as few holes as you played. Each hole score has its own date, so you can log 4 holes today and the rest of the round tomorrow, or come back weeks later and add scores you remember from an old round.

Why does it ask which tees I play?

Because a hole plays differently, and to a different par, depending which tees you're off. Your best score on each hole is tracked separately per tee, so switching tees for a day out doesn't mix into your usual ultimate round.

I made a mistake logging a round, can I fix it?

Delete the round from your course history and log it again. Deleting a round removes those hole scores from consideration, so your ultimate round recalculates automatically. It just won't use a best score that came only from the round you deleted.

Does deleting a round affect my ultimate round?

Only if that round contained your current best score on a hole. If so, your ultimate round on that hole falls back to the next-best score you've logged (or shows no data if that was the only round with a score for that hole).

Can I track more than one course?

Yes, add as many as you like from "Find a course." Each one gets its own independent ultimate round.

Can two people share the same course?

Yes. Courses are shared in our system once someone's added them, but everyone's own scores and ultimate round stay private to their account.

My course isn't in the search results, what do I do?

You can add it manually with just the par for each hole. You won't get yardages or stroke indexes that way, but your scores and ultimate round work exactly the same.

Does The Ultimate Round support courses outside the UK?

Not yet. Course search is built on a UK golf course database, so only UK clubs will turn up. You can still add a course anywhere in the world manually, entering the par for each hole yourself; logging and your ultimate round work exactly the same either way.

Is The Ultimate Round a handicap tracker?

No, deliberately not. If you already use a handicap app or GPS/shot tracker, keep using it. The Ultimate Round does one thing alongside it: your best-ever score on every hole.

Is it free?

Yes, with no plan to change that for the core features described here.
